The TLC8F Throttle uses an input of 10 to 24 volts AC or DC. Cooling is provided by a bushless ball bearing fan speed controlled to match power output so it's off when your trains are stopped of running slow and increases as your use more power. Works with any scale trains and any input voltage from 10 to 24 volts. The throttle employs a 15 amp maximum output stage but is conservatively rated at 8.3 amps continuous output. This unit is both a table-top and a hand held throttle.

The picture above shows the tabletop configuration with input/output connectors on top. The connectors can be placed on the bottom in less than two minutes by removing the faceplate and rotating the case 180 degrees as shown below.
In this configuration the unit is ideal for a palm held or walk around throttle with the input/output connectors coming out the bottom.
The speed adjustment is very smooth and provides pure DC to protect your locomotives and electronics. Pushing the speed adjustment knob in provides an emergency stop and all power is removed from the track. Power and last speed setting is restored by pulling the knob out.
The throttle also has a large forward/reverse switch making it easy to reverse your engines with the push of a botton - great for switching operations at slow speeds.

The throttle is a perfect match for our 24V 8.5A 200VA SL-PS200-1-27 8.3 amp power supply by ShourtLine shown above. The supply has A protected 8.5 amp output to power the TCL8F throttle. The SL-PS200-1-27&TLC8F shown above includes 8.3 amp supply, throttle, 10 foot AC switched cord and Track clips.

Two terminals are available for input power. These are used to connect the throttle with the SL-PS200-1-27F, SL-PS300-1-27F or the SL-PS800-3-28 power supply by ShourtLine as shown below.
