(Loco, track and track power clips shown above not included, the throttle is the LAB model that has both rear track power outputs and front mounted power outputs that are not controlled by the 3 way switch, the RED is always positive and the BLACK always negative not affected by the position of the switch. The front outputs are useful for cleaning locos where you place the rear track output into OFF on the 3 way switch and plug the test leads that come with the LAB version to run your loco on its side or on a rolling test track like in the view above)

Features: Get precision control of your analog trains with this ready to run set
For running model trains of any Gauge, the maximum output voltage and amperage as well as wattage can be pre-set in memory and the the throttle is digitally scaled for precise voltage train control. The full color display makes reading voltage, amperage and wattage easy. The Multi-turn scalable pot provides a ball bearing mounted offset control knob for precision speed control and easy momentum control.
Operating Page Display
Readout at the set points for output voltage and current is always showing at the top of the display
DMM Large color readouts of the current output; Voltage (green), Amperage (yellow) and Wattage (red)
Readout of the Input Voltage is always showing at the bottom of the display
Status Icons on the Right side of the display show:
Icon for Controls Locked or Unlocked (lock icon = locked, unlocked icon = open)
Icon for Output OK (check mark icon = OK)
CV or CC Icon (CV icon = constant voltage is limiting output, CC icon = constant current is limiting output)
M# Icon (displays current memory # active)
Power Icon (shows green = output ON, red = output OFF)
Set Page Display
Displays all 10 memory settings for easy changing and saving of your choice of Voltage and Current Set points for each memory.
One of the 10 memory settings can be set to be pre-set on power up and come up with the power ON or OFF as you choose.
Perfect for displays for unattended operation where the AC power is switch on and off via timer, user push button or motion detector.
A special version of the Throttle is available to provide slow acceleration and deceleration on power up from external push button or motion sensor.
Each of the 10 Memory locations provides a user set Auto Protection Shut Off when Voltage, Current or Wattage exceeds the limits you set.
Each of the 10 Memory locations also provides setting color screen brightness.
All Memory is nonvolatile so you do not loose your setting when power is off.

Red and black 5 way banana binding posts provide easy wiring to the track and a 2.1 mm metal socket provides easy access for 5 amps of power.
The input voltage must be 1.1 times greater than the maximum desired output voltage. Up to 52 volts DC may be used on the input, however the power supply provided with the kit provides 24.6VDC at 6.5Amps for G Scale or smaller gauge railroads. The minimum input voltage required is 6VDC. Only fully regulated voltage may be used on the input and polarity must be observed.
How to hookup and use the SL-DC-5-SPS-Kit:
Get precision control of your analog trains with this ready to run set
1) Plug the power supply output cable to the throttle's input jack
2) Connect track to the throttle's output 5 way binding posts.
(Piko quick connect power track clips show below are optional) The binding posts work with up to 12AWG size cable. Choose cable size depending on your cable length;: use 18AWG cable for up to 10 feet, use 16 AWG for 10 to 30 feet and 14AWG cable up to 100 feet and over 100 feet use 12AWG cable (all available at our store) The larger the cable the power the power loss.
3) Connect AC Power: The SL Digital Throttle comes preset for running G Scale Trains using memory setting #1. See instructions or tutorial for setting up other memory locations for different Gauge Trains or your choice of maximum voltage, current or wattage allowed.
4) Push the Power ON/OFF button to connect the output power and the Forward button to set the direction and you are ready to run.
Notice the top line of the display shows Set: 0.00 5.10 for zero volts and 5.1 amps maximum when memory #1 setting is used for G scale trains. As the voltage on the track is adjusted you will see the voltage on the top line change as well as the Green output voltage.
5) Rotate the speed knob clockwise for faster speeds, counter clockwise for slower speeds and stop.
To change the momentum and accuracy of track voltage setting push the blue button at the center of the rotary control to cycle through your choice of 1V, 1/10V and 1/100V steps. (To recall memory setting #1 for G Scale trains just push and hold the the top left V/↑ button for 2 seconds.)
Run any Gauge Analog Layout! (loco, track and track power clips not included)
